CHS basketball homecoming is rescheduled

There will be plenty of Red and Black spirit on display on Friday evening when the Carnegie Public Schools hold its 2023 Basketball Homecoming celebration in the Hoop City Gym.

Homecoming activities will culminate in the crowning of the CHS Homecoming king and queen prior to the start of the Lady Cats' game with Sentinel. Among the candidates for the homecoming honors are: Jagger Worley, Jaylen Wallace, Lanham Mabry, Bryson Longhat, Charles Boettger and Asa Worthington, Karlee Tahkofper, Elvira Lopez, Alexis Broach, Sicily D’Angelo, Celeste Izquierdo and Kaitlyn Bronaugh and Kai McVicker and Pyper Montoya.

Homecoming activities, which were postponed from Tuesday due to forecasted weather conditions, began on Monday with Pajama Day. On Tuesday, the school held Disney Day. Wednesday's theme was Construction, while Thursday's event showcases Cowboys vs. Aliens, The week's activities will wind down on Friday with Red and Black Wildcat Spirit Day.

The Carnegie boys' basketball team will also be in action against Sentinel on Friday.
