Shirley Darlene Williams

Shirley Darlene Williams, 85, of Anadarko, Oklahoma, passed away on Nov. 20, 2021, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on August 20, 1936, to Sarah Tanedooah and Frankie Redbone in Lawton, Oklahoma. Shirley was a member of the Kiowa Tribe and a descendent of Tanedooah and Satethieday Khatgomebaugh. She was raised by Bessie "Enoch" and William Cornbread Tanedooah. Shirley had four siblings; two brothers, Billy Evans Horse and Otis Saddleblanket, and two sisters, Joquetta Tanedooah Redbird and Jackie Beth Marrow.

Survivors include two children: Sandra Satepauhoodle and Paul Satepauhoodle; adopted children, Michael Brill, Lisa Crochet, Eric Lassiter, Robert Hendricks and Drew Armstrong; grandchildren, Kimberly Satepauhoodle, Kenneth "BJ" Murphy, Vincent Guevara, Ronnie Satepauhoodle, Billy Jack Marrow, Anna Slimp, Yolanda Satepauhoodle, Armando Satepauhoodle and Karen Sittingbull; as well as great-grandchildren, Silas Zack Lambert, Kennedy Murphy, Kylee Murphy, Xavier Gene Toehay, Hazakiah Robert Satepauhoodle, Ronnie Exodus Satepauhoodle, Maleena Corneilius, Gracie Satepauhoodle, Briana Sittingbull, Kaius Corneilius, Kane Corneilius, Cidella Marie Mendivil, Jose Javier Mendivil, Melissia Pearce, Vincent Jr. Guevara and Jayla Guevara. She is also survive by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah Tanedooah and Frankie Redbone; her grandparents; her husband, a daughter, a son,and her sisters, Joquetta and Jackie, and brothers, Billy and Otis, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service was held at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021, at the Botone Memorial Church in Carnegie, Oklahoma.
